Fr. Peter C. Weiss, SSJ, Vocations Director
Father Weiss, a native of Brooklyn, NY, entered the Josephite Community in 1970 and was ordained a Priest May 26, 1979. His Pastoral Experience includes: Parochial Vicar at Most Pure Heart of Mary, Mobile, AL, 1979 -1980, at Corpus Christi, New Orleans, LA, 1980-1983, and at Our Mother of Mercy, Beaumont, TX, 1983-1986; Pastor at St. Theresa, Crowley, LA, 1986-1991; a Teacher at St. Augustine High School, New Orleans, LA, 1991- 2005; Pastor at St. Joan of Arc, New Orleans, LA, 1992- 2002 and at All Saints, New Orleans, LA, 2002-2006. Other Ministries include: 1986 -1991 Chaplain for the Crowley Police & Fire Department and Acadia Parish Sheriff Department, and Volunteer Fire Fighter, Crowley, LA; 1991-2006, Chaplain for the New Orleans Police and Fire Department.

Fr. Charles Andrus, SSJ, Associate Vocations Director
Born May 8, 1945, in Palmetto, LA, Fr. Charles Andrus, SSJ, is one of seven children to Mr. & Mrs. Charles Andrus, Sr. He attended Immaculate Conception School in Lebeau, and Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, majoring in secondary education in the fields of mathematics and general science. Fr. Andrus entered the Josephite Community in 1968 at Epiphany Apostolic College and was ordained a Priest May 8, 1976 at his home Parish, Immaculate Conception, Lebeau, LA. In 1976 he was appointed Parochial Vicar at Epiphany Church, New Orleans, and was instrumental in forming an association for ministry of African American parishes, which later became the Office of African American Catholic Ministries in New Orleans. He has served as Pastor at St. Francis Xavier Church, Houston, TX, where he was appointed the first Vicar of African American Affairs for the Diocese of Galveston-Houston; at St. Theresa Church, Gulfport, MS, where he served as liaison to the African American Community in the Diocese of Biloxi; at St. Brigid Church, Los Angeles, CA, where he was appointed Director of the Office of African American Ministry and the African American Catholic Evangelization Center; at Our Mother of Mercy and Our Lady Star of the Sea Churches, Houston; and as Parochial Vicar/Katrina Recovery Director at Corpus Christi Church, New Orleans, LA. Fr. Andrus has served as Consulter General of the Josephite Society. He is a noted revivalist, leads Parish Renewal programs, and has been actively involved with the Black Catholic Congress
Bro. Louis Tomasso, SSJ, Associate Vocations Director
Brother Louis was born in Rochester, NY, and entered the Josephite Community in 1963. He made First Promise in July 1964, Final Profession in April 1969, and graduated from Xavier University of New Orleans in 1976. His Pastoral Experience includes: Teacher at St. Joseph Industrial School, Clayton, DE, and at St. Augustine High School, New Orleans, LA; Youth Minister at St. Peter Claver, St. David, and Corpus Christi Churches, New Orleans, LA; and Pastoral Minister at Corpus Christi Church, New Orleans, LA.
