Pro Life

"There are set before you fire and water; to whichever you choose, stretch forth your hand.

The Josephite Fathers and Brothers have declared ourselves as
"Pro-Life, Pro-Chastity, Pro-Family."

At our 2007 Conference, two changes were enacted:

1. This committee had a name change from "Pro-life, Pro-chastity, Pro-family Committee" to its new name of "The Committee on Life, Sexuality, Marriage and Family."

2. This committee has been established as a "Standing Committee" of the Josephite Priests and Brothers.

    This Committee was also given a charge from the 2007 Conference to:

--  Explore and develop a simplified catechism suitable for the instruction of children, young people and the un-educated;

--  Develop a program which will encourage modesty and chastity;

--  Develop a program in Catholic Christian parenting for the benefit of both single and married parents, covering all phases of childhood development - infancy,                  childhood, and adolescence.

In taking a firm stand on Life, Sexuality, Marriage and Family we realize and accept the fact that we are being called to be "Counter-Cultural."
