On Sunday March 1, 2009 St. David Catholic Church had its rededication.  The main celebrants were Bishop Shelton Fabre of New Orleans, Fr. Edward Chiffriller, Superior General of the Josephites, and Rev. Joseph J. Campion, SSJ., pastor of St. David Catholic Church.  The rededication was held on the Feast Day of St. David of Wales.
Prior to the rededication, on February 28, 2009, on the grounds of St. David's, Rev. Msgr., Richard Bolger of St. David Catholic Church in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, unveiled and blessed a statute of St. David that was given to the parishioners of St. David Catholic Church in New Orleans.
