Goal Of Program:
The Josephite Volunteer Program consists of men who are committed to various ministries in the African American community. Living in community, Volunteers primarily minister in areas of education and parochial ministries.
Sites of Ministry:
Depending upon the individual volunteers, talents, skills, interests, and abilities one may be involved in working in the areas of academic education, religious education, and youth ministry.
Locations Of Service:
California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Baltimore, Washington DC area
Requirements:
- A motivation to live and work in the African American Community
- Single and a practicing Catholic
- Men, ages 21 to 40
- College experience preferred
- A personal interview
- Four personal references
- Current and complete physical examination
- A willingness to share in community life and mutual formation
Financial and Living Arrangements:
- Small stipend
- Room and board
- Medical Insurance
Time Frame of Service:
August - June
